Products Description
A high quality, neutral, elastic, crystal clear adhesive based on premium AST polymer.
Features & Benefits
1.Crystal clear permanently elastic formulation;
2.High bond strength nearly on all surfaces even if slightly humid;
3.Very good mechanical properties;
4.Do not contain solvent, silicone, isocyanate, halogens or acids;
5.Good extrudability even at low temperatures;
6.Over-paintable with water based paints;
7.Primerless adhesion to numerous porous and non-po-rous substrates;
8.No shrinkage;
9.Does not crack or discolor.
Applications
YN-888 Neutral sealant for Mirror
1.It has a good adhesive strength without primer on most common materials such as aluminum,zinc,galvanized steel, stainless steel,copper, natural stone, concrete,brick, etc.
2.For crystal clear elastic bonding applications.
3.Invisible bonding and sealing of materials in ndoor applications.
Instructions
Before the application, the tip of the cartridges is cut and a plastic cap is fixed.
1.The tip of the cap is cut according to the width of the surface and fixed to the cartridge gun.
2.For bonding application:Apply the adhesive in strips or dots to the base or on the element to be bonded. The strips must be applied in vertical rows.Bring together the parts to be joined as quickly as possible, at least within 5 minutes(this depends on the temperature and relative humidity level).
3.For sealing application: The surface of Akfix Clear applied in the joints should be smoothened with a dampened spatula, glazing tool, joint iron or by hand immediately.
4.If used, the adhesive tape should be removed afterwards
5.The opened packages should be consumed as quickly as possible.
6.The contaminated areas and used tools should be cleaned with white spirit or alcohol. It is cleaned only mechanically after cured.
Application Dimentions
1.Minimum width for bonding is 1mm.
2.Maximum width for bonding is 3mm.
3.Minimum width for joints is 5mm.
4.Maximum width for joints 10mm.
5.Minimum depth for joints 5mm.
Standards
Meets or exceeds the requirements of the following speci-fications:
1.The requirements of VOC content specifications in LEED credit EQc4.1 "Low-emitting products" of SCAQMD rule 1168.
2.The French VOC requirements for class A+.
3.CE marked for EN 15651 for façade & glazing applica-tions (DOP NO: 2016-0004).
Safety & Disposal
For information and advice on the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemical products, users shall refer to the most recent Material Safety Data Sheet containing physi-cal, ecological, toxicological and other safety-related data.
Storage & Shelf Life
1.They should be protected from water, frost and adverse air conditions.
2.They should be kept dry and cool on wooden pallets at between +10℃ and +25℃ in moisture free conditions.
3.The opened products should be consumed immediately.
4.Shelf life if maximum 9 months conditional to complying with the aforementioned storage conditions.

Joint Depth | 5mm | 5mm |
Efficiency / 300ml | 12 meters | 6 meters |
Surface Preparation |
Following cleaning procedure and materials are recommended: |
Glass | Degrease with alcohol or MEK |
Aluminium, light alloys and stainiess steel | Degrease with alcohol or MEK |
Other Metals | Lightly abrade then degrease as above |
Wood | Lightly abrade surface then remove dust |
Plastics | Degrease using an agent recommended by plastics manufacturer |
Concrete and other alkaline Surfaces | Brush and remove dust |
Restrictions
1.It must not be used in totally confined spaces where sealant cannot cure due to lack of atmospheric moisture.
2.Cannot be used on natural stone. Because the adhesion surface will discolor under influence of the sealant (looks wet) and also this is visible through the sealant due to its clear look.
3.Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
4.Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause discoloring.
