Products Description
YN-768 Silicone Weather Proofing Sealant is a one-component curing silicone sealant with excellent adhesion,weather-ability and elasticity for weather sealing in curtain wall and building facades, especially suits applications in the areas with large difference in temperature and low humidity.lt easily extrudes in any weather and quickly cures at room temperature by reaction with moisture in the air to form a durable, flexible silicone rubber seal.
Features & Benefits
1.Extension/compression movement capability of up to ±50% of the original joint width;
2.Suits applications in the areas with large difference in temperature and low humidity;
3.Odorless, non-corrosive curing system;
4.Excellent weather-ability and high resistance to ultravi-olet radiation, heat and humidity, ozone and temperature extremes;
5.Remains flexible over a temperature range of-58℉(-50℃) to 302°F(150℃);
6.Excellent un-primed adhesion to wide range of substrates including coated, enameled and reflective glasses, anodized and polyester coated or painted aluminum profiles;
7.Good compatibility with other neutral silicone sealants.
Applications
1.Weather sealing in glass curtain wall joints;
2.Weather sealing in metal, enamel curtain wall joints;
3.Sealing in expansion joints for concrete, plastic and metal etc;
4.Sealing in roof joints and ACP curtain wall;
5.Many other uses.

How to Use
Complete design and installation guidelines are contained in the YOUNUO Technical Manual when using this product.
Usable Life and Storage
When stored at or below 27℃ (80°F) in the original unopened containers, YN-768 Silicone Sealant has a usable life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Limitations
YN-768 Silicone Weather Proofing Sealant should not be used, applied or recommended:
1.In structural glazing applications or where the sealant is intended as an adhesive.
2.In areas where abrasion and physical abuse are encoun-tered.
3.In totally confined spaces as the sealant requires atmo-spheric moisture for cure.
4.On frost-laden or damp surfaces.
5.To building materials that bleed oils,plasticizers or solvents-materials such as impregnated wood, oil-based caulks, green or partially vulcanized rubber gaskets or tapes.
6.On PMMA,PC substrates.
7.In below-grade applications.
8.On substrates made of polypropylene,polyethylene, polycarbonate and polytetrafluoroethylene.
9.Where movement capability greater than ±50% is required.
10.Where painting of the sealant is required, as the paint film may crack and peel.
11.For structural adhesion on bare metals or surfaces subject to corrosion (i.e., mill aluminum, bare steel, etc.)
12.To surfaces in contact with food.
13.For use underwater or in other applications where the product will be in continuous contact with water.
